Statement of the problem Information access through electronic media has had a lot of impact on the libraries and library community. Almost all the librarians have been facilitated to develop new strategy for managing the IT facilities. This study aims to digitization of Computer Science Question Bank of Bharathidasan University to establish an electronic library to satisfy the end users.
OBJECTIVIES To provide wide access to the Library’s Online Question Bank collections. To preserve Computer Science (M. Sc and B.Sc.) Question Bank available in Bharathidasan University Library. To save the valuable shelf space. To scan and convert the entire printed Question Papers of M.Sc. and B. Sc. Computer Science in to the digital format using Digital Scanner.
SCOPE Question Bank approach to creating digital collection outlines our objectives for providing online access to digital versions Computer Science (Master of Science and Bachelor of Science) question bank during the period in our collections available in Bharathidasan University Library and defines our considerations when digitizing for public access.
METHODOLOGY The related question papers collected from control of examination section, after that questions converted in to digital format with the help of Scanner (HP) Scan jet 3110 with inbuilt OCR Software. Moreover Building Collection used dspace digital library Software. The following tools are used to our study. Apache Postgr MySQL Java Perl Dspace
Dspace Dspace was Expressly created by MIT as a digital Repository to capture the Intellectual output of multidisciplinary Research Organizations.MIT designed the system in collaboration with the Hewlett-PackardCompa Dspace software can be downloaded from ( assembly of software needed for building the repository is, Java SDK Apache Apache Ant Postgre SQL DSpace 1.5

CONCLUSION This is the age of information explosion. It demands Institutional Librarians to organize and provide right information to the right user at the right time. To fulfill this task they build their Online Question Bank repositories. Many open source software are available to build digital repositories. Dspace software is one of the open source software. It can build Online Question Bank repository effectively.
Bharathidasan University made considerable progress with respect to the goal of digitizing all the question papers available in library. We could expect to see the entire question papers preserved for future generations of user community of Bharathidasan University
