Overview: I wish to be successful in the television business, mainly because I want to entertain the masses and to get something out of life. I like the fact of that you create characters and stories within the business. There are writers, producers, directors, and mainly more.

Job Descrpition Producers oversee all editing and the sound effects (which is nice), make all decisions in production, oversee the hiring of actors and motivating them, and analyze scripts and decide visual effects. I kinda like the power of all of these.

Training & Educational Requirements A college degree is not mandatory, yet some post-secondary training in business and finance is recommended. The ability to communicate and write is essential. Training in business is very useful because it can help the producers to further understand his/her job. On-the-job experience is also useful, because it can help the producer by watching other producers managing the set.

Job Market There’s a demand for producers in Georgia (notably in Clarke County),, and the business itself is very competitive, so it’s not going away anytime soon. Entertainment is always going to be relevant, so it’s not going to be obsolete.

Advantages & Disadvantages Advantages You get paid a lot You make TV shows, films, and radio stuff. The job can be fun and creative. You get the last word on production. Disadvantages It’s stressful. You have to travel a lot. You getting the last word means if it crashes and burns, you’re finished.

Salary & Advancement Opportunities Production Assistant $25K to $35K/yr. Associate Producer $30K to $60K/yr. Producer $60K to $165K/yr. Executive Producer $80K to $200K/yr.

Salary & Advancement Opportunities Production Assistant High School Diploma Required Associate Producer Several Years of Experience Required Excellent written communication and research skills. A full understanding of production. Producer Many Years of Experience In Industry Trade. Executive Producer Complete Understanding In All Aspects of Production Required Extensive experience producing quality products. Ability to juggle many projects in production or development.

Benefits Offered I guess there are benefits of profit sharing and some insurance, yet I can’t really find anything on the subject.

Conclusion I still want this job, because it seems like a great job when you’re working w/ people on projects. There will be stressful times, especially during a blitz, yet I’m still curious about the job.
