Exception: movement of infirm or bed-ridden patients. Conducted quarterly on each shift. At least 12 drills every year. 9:00 pm – 6:00 am coded announcement instead of audible alarms allowed.

Condition IV: Not allowed free movement to any other space within a smoke compartment. Single signal allows release of all sleeping rooms. Condition V: Similar to Condition IV, but requires individual release of all sleeping rooms.

School Official in charge must ensure: Plan for protection and evacuation; approved by the Head of the Fire Department. Personnel and Students receive proper instruction. Students participate in fire drill within 3 days of entering school.
