EVERYBODY LIKES CODING Over the last few years, interest in coding is increasing in most parts of the world. This is also happening in Italy. PROF. ALBERTO BARBERO – DSCHOLA - TORINO

ITALY LIKES SCRATCH Scratch is one of the most used tools to teach how to program computers. PROF. ALBERTO BARBERO – DSCHOLA - TORINO

FROM ICT TO CS 2010 school reform legislation required high schools to introduce the principles of computer science and computer programming during the first year for the purpose of improving problem solving and computational thinking skills. PROF. ALBERTO BARBERO – DSCHOLA - TORINO

CS WITH SCRATCH After different experiments with the use of the most popular programming languages, Scratch began to be more and more taught in schools because of its features and ease of use in introducing young students to coding. PROF. ALBERTO BARBERO – DSCHOLA - TORINO

Scratch is a free desktop and online multimedia authoring tool that can be used by students, scholars, teachers, and parents to easily create games and provide a stepping stone to the more advanced world of computer programming or even be used for a range of educational and entertainment constructivist purposes from math and science projects, including simulations and visualizations of experiments, recording lectures with animated presentations, to social sciences animated stories, and interactive art and music.authoring toolconstructivistmathsciencesocial sciencesinteractive art PROF.
