Drilling / Workover Divisions personnel, EHS representatives and business partners attended Drilling & Workover EHS leadership meeting and presented talks focused on Hazard Identification, Risk Assessment and Control, and Mitigation Planning for risks created by hazardous conditions and/or behaviors. KDC Drilling Rigs No.16 and 17, and UPDC (Weatherford ) Rig#102 were recognized for commendable safety performance. These Safety and Environment personnel joined EHS division and assigned to work for various divisions. They bring experience and knowledge to strengthen Joint Operations efforts to further improve EHS performance. Joint Operations Prepared & Published Monthly by EH&S, F&S Group JO EHS Bulletin APRIL 2010 Hazard Reports 2007 – 2010 New EHS Personnel Innovation in Safety Roads and road intersections with lot of heavy equipment and truck movement pose serious traffic hazards. Flagmen who control traffic at such locations are always exposed to dust, noise, weather and traffic hazards. Some JO employees came up with an innovative idea to avoid exposing our business partners employees to such hazards. KDC Rig # 17UPDC (Weatherford)Rig # 102 Mr. Fahad M. Al-Dossari of Construction Division made flagmen of steel with all regular clothes, PPE and reflective jacket. These steel flagmen are posted near road junction leading to pit remediation project site to give traffic warning to drivers. The steel flagmen are clearly visible and can stay there continuously exposed to weather without any problem. MMD - Welding Supervisor Nasser Al-Dossari and Foreman Saad Al-Harbi helped to fabricate steel signalmen. Managers and key personnel of Field Development Department visited new Rig # 172 before it started operation on 1 st April, 2010 Suresh N. Amarnath B. Mike R.
