ABOUT NETWORK COMPUTING So you have shown an interest in network computing. What exactly is network computing? The course concentrates on giving you an understanding of the technology, applications and management issues associated with computing in a network environment. The course will introduce to you how basic computer hardware works and the technology behind wired and wireless networks. It will develop your skills in configuring network devices, correcting network problems and applying network management techniques. You will learn about network security such as prevention from hackers, network designs for real life environment, and setting up and implementing a network solution for companies. Current technologies such as Mobile applications, 3G technologies, E- Commerce, Internet technologies draw upon the foundations of network computing.

Scenarios for Network Applications Network technologies are applied everywhere. The Internet websites you surf are based on the foundation of network technologies. When you go to KLIA or LCCT, network technologies are being used to provide real time data regarding your flight status, check in information, security information etc. Visit the bank and you will also noticed that all data are updated real time.
