Welded Dress Armstrong sourced Polyester micro fibre trimmed and PU coated Nylon, specialist fabrics that are suitable for welding. The ‘Dress’ includes antiviral/antibacterial and reflective technology and features little traditional manufacturing and is primarily sonically welded. The ‘Dress’ demonstrated ‘no sew’ making.

Exhibition

Made in Future “A Vision of Things to Come”, Cholmondeley Suite at the House of Lords, London, June Armstrong was invited to exhibit “Welded Dress” for the UK Fashion and Textile Industry as part of Made in Future at the Cholmondeley Suite at the House of Lords, London, June This was as a member of the Materials KTN for materials UK. Sue Jenkins-Jones (London College of Fashion) asked for images of garments exhibited on the catwalk at the event for a future publication. The event included exhibits by staff and students from London College of Fashion, London, Nottingham Trent University, University College Falmouth, Herriot Watt University and University of the Arts, Central St Martins. Industry exhibitors included Peratech and Technitex. (MADE IN FUTURE Materials KTN catalogue)
