Presentation transcript:

How do bitmapped graphics differ? Bitmaps are the most common type of picture format. Vector images are inherently different from bitmap images.

If you want to enlarge a graphic to a graphic and a bitmapped graphic to a vector graphic? Resizemypicture.com allows you to resize a picture for free

What are three main section of a graphics application window ? How does each function work? Workspace :Area which contains the graphic Toolbars: a bar across the side of a window Color Pallets: display of color

Identify the two categories of tools used in draw programs, and explain what each does. Line and Shape tools draw & Paint.

Describe the process of importing and exporting graphics., clip art—artwork that has already been created that you can download—can be used as a starting point.

what steps are taken to convert a vector graphic to a bitmapped graphic, and a bitmapped graphic to a vector graphic? Vector-to-Bitmapped Graphics Vector graphics are based on lines and fills rather than pixels. The lines and fills must be changed to pixels before the image can be edited in a paint program. Bitmapped- to-Vector Graphics Bitmapped graphics are based on pixels, not lines, and converting them to vectors requires a special process called tracing. Tracing requires special software and can be complicated when an image has a lot of color and detail.

What are two differences between bitmapped graphic and a vector graphic? Clip art in a bitmapped format Vector art can be imported in a draw program and modified.

When editing graphics, why is it important to consider the file format in which an image is created? Image editor are designed for editing bitmapped images

How do toolbars in draw and paint programs help you to edit and add effects to images? It makes it easier to group and layer images.

Why are exporting and importing important functions for working with graphics? Different processes are used combine vector and bitmapped images.

How are layering and grouping similar? How are they different? They are both stacked together one is grouping and the other is layering.

1.Bitmapped graphic: an image formed by a pattern of dots K A. k.r

2.Vector graphic: an image that is created using paths or lines

3. Resolution: for a bitmapped image, the number of pixels in a certain section of the image

4.Paint Program: the basic program for working with a bitmapped image

5.Color Palette: a display of options in a paint or draw program that allows the user to choose the color a tool will place in an image

6.Eye Dropper: a tool that picks up and works with a specific color from an image

7.Graphics tablet: a piece of hardware used for drawing

8.Import: to bring information into a program from another program

9.Layer: to stack parts of a bitmapped image on top of another level

10.Clip Art: a graphic that has already been created for use by others
