3 Firstly many thanks….. To all who have participated in the 61 organised race days and also to all those who have helped with the running of races ……. A big thank you from all the sailors.

8 Item 2 – Dutyman summary >195 Sailing standard duties registered -46 persons participated in Dutyman - (55 in 2012 / 56 in 2013) 40 DOK owners participated - (38 in 2012 / 43 in 2013) 6 non DOK owners participated - (17 in 2012 / 11 in 2013) -30% of duties completed by 7 individuals (9 in 2013) Marvin and Angela Wills – 16 Ingrid Davies – 15 Steve Thomas and Gayle Douglas -13 Mike and Jane Baker - 11 Eve Burden - 7 Roger Kenchington – 6 -Only 15 persons completed a Race Officer duty (20 in 2013) -50% of DOK did not participate - (>40 DOK) -Conclusion – Greater DOK / Club participation is required

9 Item 3 – 2015 New Season dates >New Season proposed Start -Easter Monday April 6 th = Portchester Duck Race -Boats into the compound 12 th April for the first weekend series >New Season proposed End -October 10 th – Rum Run -Boats out of compound October 10 th 1015 >Details will come through and the handbook >Early compound entry -If you want to enter the compound for Portchester Duck and the first of the Wednesday evening series races. -Contact the Sailing Secretary for early compound entry.

10 Item 3 – 2015 Proposed Changes - summarised >Rules around Dutyman – Volunteers required -How do we get Non Dinghy sailors involved? -A rule for all DOK members? Sailing Secretary >Saturday or Sunday racing? -Friday and Saturday is hard to justify at home -Most Interclub racing and Cruiser events are on a Saturday >Start of the season evening series begin at 630pm -Throughout April then 7pm in May onwards >Maintain approx 63 race days – Difficult to resource more.

11 Item 4 – Other Ideas for Improvement >Vectis Race >Dinghy Cruising – add 2 pilot events -In harbour – Fareham and ?? >Crews Race >Ladies Race >Junior Series – Only 1 race last year sue to lack of boats. -Most Juniors chose to race in the Senior race series -Should it be maintained? What are the alternatives? >Regatta day – Ideas and suggestions

13 Item 4 – Patrol Boat Competency >Rescue Boat Driver competency test – implemented over the next season for We have not succeeded in training any existing Dinghy Sailors so far -Organise 2 Winter events pre season -Names please for March 2015

14 Item 5 – Sailing Committee roles >Dinghy sailing -Any interest >Support is required to ensure all events are managed -Assistance to coordinate Regatta events (Regatta and Flew) -Update the website with events and reports -Dinghy Race Officer – Training and maintenance of the RO Manual -Results Management – Maintain results for upload onto the website -Race Mark maintenance – Painting, Placement and recovery. N.Burden – who else????? >Committee boats / Race Officer for – -Regatta weekends x 4 (single days only) -Trophy Races – where possible

15 Item 6 – Winter jobs >Recover, Clean and Paint the race marks -PAINT MID IN A DIFFERENT COLOUR – to distinguish and provide a positional Mark from the other 3 Castle side Marks >Start hut clean Start hut preparation for 2015 >Coordinate the RIB competency tests pre season >Fixtures list – In hand
