WOMEN AND WORLD WAR II PROJECT BASED LEARNING

EXPLORATION THROUGH ARCHIVES Over the course of a lifetime, most people accumulate a variety of records. Taken together, these records can provide a fascinating view into someone’s life and into the past.

EXAMPLES OF RECORDS THAT MAY GIVE US A GLIMPSE INTO THE POLITICAL, ECONOMIC AND SOCIAL CLIMATE OF THE TIME… birth, death, and marriage records letters or diaries photographs, sketches, and paintings court records audio, video and film records

Using primary sources, that have been archived, gives us a unique perspective into the past. The historical event we are going to explore is the role of Canadian women during World War II
