ENGINE CLEAN OIL TOOL OIL RX • 999 TRAINING Pre Clean the Lubrication System Back Flush Oil Pick-up Screen Eliminate Oil Carry Over Pre Lube Engine

SAFETY HAND AND EYE PROTECTION Wear Safety Glasses Do not smoke near the machine Do not inhale or breathe the fumes from the machine or engine exhaust Use in a well ventilated area Read and understand the MSDS

SAFETY- Continued Immediately repair any leaks in the machine or leaky adapters Immediately clean up any spills Keep a fire extinguisher available Keep the lines (hoses) away from moving parts and hot objects. Do not exceed 40 PSI

PRE-CLEANING Before an oil change, pour 32 oz. of Engine Clean EFX-601 (or other cleaning solution recommended by your vendor) into the engine’s lubrication system. Make sure that the engine oil level is above the minimum level. Run the engine at idle for 10-15 minutes. The engine oil system--the hydraulic lifters, valve train, gear train, oil pump, valve cover, crankcase sidewalls, oil galleys and the oil pan--will now be thoroughly cleaned.

SLM ADAPTERS Find the correct oil filter adapter by checking the Engine Clean color coded adapter chart. The 4 page Oil Filter Adapter Chart covers 42 vehicle models and light trucks.

OIL ADAPTERS The basic oil adapter kit consists of 5 color coded inserts, 4 hoses & 3 oil filter bases and 2 plugs. Select the correct size SLM adapter and the colored insert. Disassemble the colored insert

PREPARE OIL ADAPTERS Push the threaded colored adapter through the single hole. Put the copper washer over the end of the adapter and the nut. Tighten with wrench. The assembled SLM adapter is ready to attach to the oil filter stud.

OIL ADAPTERS WITH OIL SCREEN BACK FLUSH SERVICE Back flush the oil pump filter housing prior to draining the oil. Remove the oil filter and attach the spin on adapter as shown to the Oil Tool. The back flush kit includes an additional hole in the spin on adapters. It also includes a small cap for the oil housing insert.

BENEFITS Improves engine compression & horsepower by removing varnish from the pistons and carbon from the top ring groove. Cleans the oil system of sludge and deposits -- safely and completely. Improves engine life by eliminating wear elements and oil contaminants from oil.

OIL CARRYOVER Up to 1/2 - 3/4 quart of used oil is still in the engine. The residual oil is contaminated with particulates, wear elements, and oil contaminants. Don’t mix 5 quarts of clean oil with one quart of dirty oil.

ELIMINATING OIL CARRYOVER When the pre-cleaning is done, and you have back-flushed the oil pump and screen, turn the engine off. Remove the filter and drain plug. Drain the oil. If the oil filter is a spin on filter, use an oil filter wrench to remove the filter from the engine.

NEXT STEP Adapters will spin on easily. Do not force them. Hand tighten only Attach the clear oil line to the center port

CONNECT THE OIL TOOL Hang the oil tool in a secure manner Connect the Oil Tool to shop air. Close the black valve. Pressurize the canister. Do not exceed 35 PSI. Open the valve at the bottom of the oil tool. Air is injected into the oil galleys and the old oil is flushed out of the engine.

CLM ADAPTER If the vehicle is late model European (AUDI, BMW, MBZ, VW, VOLVO, MINI, and some newer models of Lexus) the oil filter is a cartridge. Open the oil filter housing and remove the filter element.

CLM ADAPTER Put the CLM adapter into the adapter housing and hand tighten. Connect the adapter hose to the OIL TOOL Perform an air flush

PRE LUBE Hang the Oil Tool to the hood hook. Close the black valve. Fill the Oil Tool with 1 quart of oil. Connect to Shop Air. Increase the pressure to 35 psi. Turn the black valve to inject the oil back into areas where the oil was previously removed. Be careful not to air flush the engine twice.

SERVICE INERVAL Air flush and pre-lube your customers engine with the Oil Tool every time you change engine oil. Engine oil will stay cleaner, longer, and your customers can extend the mileage interval between oil changes. The real pay-off from removing oil contaminants from your engine is the enormous reduction in wear rate and time between engine repairs.
