Sample Goals To participate in professional development with Mahesh Sharma (Professional Development) to further my knowledge of various teaching strategies so that my students may achieve at higher levels in mathematics in computation and algebra skills (Instructional Impact) as measured by NWEA. Sample Goals I will do professional research on how to increase self-esteem in young girls (Professional Development) through exercise, sport and wellness activities so I can use this when working with a small group of girls (Instructional Impact) and strive to have at least 50% of them increase their self-esteem and knowledge of how to help themselves to do this through a pre-test and a post-test. Sample Goals To learn how to effectively implement Discrete Trial methods to help autistic students learn to read simple books. (Professional Development) My goal is to teach a student with special education needs sight words and additional nouns and verbs using the Discrete Trial method. (Instructional Impact) My goal is to achieve 80% accuracy with these words. (Student Learning)

Sample Goals I will expand my knowledge of Whole Brain Teaching techniques (Professional Development) which incorporates kinesthetic, visual and auditory learning to improve student understanding of science concepts. (Instructional Impact) I will continue to assess, and improve instruction though analysis of student performance on internally developed pre/post test and NECAP scores. (Student Learning)

Sample Goals Through researching writingfix.com, going to a workshop on early/emergent writing, reading the 6+1 Traits book, and by conducting at least 2 lesson studies (Professional Development) my goal is to incorporate the Writing Sequence outlined by Jodi Black's writingfix.com to increase beginning writing skills in each of the 6+1 writing traits. (Instructional Impact) It will be measured by 80% of my students moving up at least one level in four of the six traits included on the 6+1 Writing Rubric for Beginning Writers (Student Learning)

Sample Goals I will actively participate in a Professional Learning Community in order to explore means of integrating technology (Professional Development) into my instruction to increase student engagement. (Instructional Impact) I will develop four summative assessments for my classes that assess technology use. (Student Learning)
