Agricultural Equipment Services Overview People working in this field provide agricultural equipment sales, service, and parts to the agricultural community. They apply professional, scientific, technical, and interpersonal skills to diagnose, repair, and provide proper maintenance to agricultural equipment.

This line of work probably seems very inviting and interesting to you, however the industry as a whole – equipment dealerships, farms, wholesale parts distributors, etc. work year round and get very little time off and often work 50 hrs. + per week. Less than 2% of the total U.S. population is engaged in agriculture, still there is a promising future.

Agricultural Equipment Services Trends Skills in using computerized diagnostic equipment is becoming more important. Post secondary education in agricultural engineering or diesel mechanics is a huge asset. Jobs are concentrated in small towns and rural communities.

Must have a minimum of Class B license and for tractor trailer a Class A specialized license.
