Distance Learning Infrastructure  Same basic video equipment as used for telemedicine  Telemedicine most often conducted hospital- to-hospital  For specialty care  Current expansion into practice settings  Video equipment becoming smaller, more diffuse, more mobile and less expensive

Medical Students  Can interactively participate in lectures or mentoring from distant locations  Can sit with primary care physicians during a telemedicine consultation  Can accompany a specialist from KUMC during a consultation

Medical Residents  Can provide telemedicine services as component of residency training  Currently being done in pediatrics and adult psychiatry

Elluminate Live!  Available at KUMC  Up to 35 concurrent users  Live, 2-way audio  Video capable, not currently at KUMC  Whiteboard 
