COLAGE PAINTING A Collage painting a technique of composing works of art by pasting numerous materials that may or may not usually be associated with each other on to one surface. Making a collage is fun & creative.

COLLAGE PAINTING MAKING PROCESS 1. Draw a sketch any type of object on your drawing copy. 2.After your sketch you select colours you would like to fill in them. Suppose you have to draw a tree. Now tear a page that has green shades, keep tearing bits of green shad enough to fill up the tree.

3. The beauty of this painting lies in different shapes of the paper and that to showing the torn white edges. 4. Collage art is an artistic composition made of various materials glue on a surface. 5. The words comes from the French word ‘COLLER” meaning to glue or past e.

MATERIALS 1. Traditional collage materials include scraps of paper and other flat materials, news paper, magazine clippings, shopping bags, photographs, wall paper& foil. 2.Object such a string, beads, feathers, paperclips. 3.You could paint, draw, stamp or stencil in between the elements you find or cover them.

4.-Choose a base for your collage :-The base is usually that paper or poster board. 5.-The background does not have to be white, and it does not have to be plain, The background could be a page from a magazine or book, a large photograph, or a page of text, paint or draw in it or cover over it with anything that glue will stick to.

6. Use scissors:- To cut out places for your collage. Try cutting your scraps in to unusual shapes. Cutting out words on letters from a verity of sources to make phrases on your college. 7. Try tearing materials too:- The rough, random, edges give parts of your collage a different character than cutouts.

8. Apply glue each them:- you don’t have to covet the whole surface it you don’t want to and don’t every piece. Has to be glued flat on the collage. You can fold or crumple pieces of paper. 9. Let the finished collage dry completely:- Depending on the glues you used. You may need to let the collage dry a few hours or more then a day.

Tips For making collage painting a. Take your time, be patient and carefully choose and arrange your materials. b. A collage is a great opportunity to experiment with colour, space, texture, arrangement. C. of the materials on your collage do not stick perfectly after gluing. You can used brush a diluted glue mixture. d. you can try mixing your glue with water. e. only used glues that are right for the materials you are pasting.
