DATE OF BIRTH Andrew Jackson was born on March 15, The exact location of his birth is unknown, but he is to have been born in somewhere between the border of North and South Carolina in Waxhaw.

HOME STATE Jackson’s home state is North Carolina, where he worked as a teacher and studied law in Salisbury.

PRESIDENT OF THE UNITED STATES Andrew Jackson was the seventh president of the United States. He served two terms from March 4, 1829 to March 4, He is also the first president to almost be impeached from the Executive Office and the first to let people into the White House after inauguration.

PRESIDENT OF THE UNITED STATES As president, he signed the Indian Removal Act, which forced Natives out of their homes southern states and into the western territories. He also issued the Specie Circular Act, which required the purchase of public lands to be paid in gold and silver, not paper money.

IMPORTANT EVENTS On May 27, 1830, Jackson vetoed the Maysville Road bill, which would supposedly sanction the national government’s purchase of stock for the construction of a Kentucky road. On December 10, 1832, Jackson issued the Nullification Proclamation which stated that all states are forbidden from abolishing laws. On July 4, 1831, the French government agreed to a treaty settling spoliation claims by the U.S. dating back to the Napoleon Wars.
