PURPOSE The purpose of this project is for you to creatively describe your family in French using the vocabulary we’ve studied.
PURPOSE You will orally present your family project for the class. Presentations will be no longer than 5 minutes each. Failure to have project ready on the 28 of November will result in an automatic letter grade drop.

GUIDELINES Choose any nine members of your family you want to use to describe and present to the class. You can invent family members if you wish. (if you don’t have a sister but want to include one, you may!)
GUIDELINES Include a description of you with at least one other family member.
Voila moi et ma famille. J’ai un frère. Il s’appelle Richard. J’ai un père et une mère. Nous sommes intelligents et généreux. Nous ne sommes pas paresseux et mechants. Mon frère et moi, nous sommes forts! EXEMPLE: Here I am on the left with more than one of my family members. I am describing myself AND them at the same time.
GUIDELINES WHAT TO INCLUDE: For each of the nine people, you will have to: Include name (it can be fake) and relation to you. Age (it can be fake). A physical and characteristic description. What the person likes to do.
Here is my mom. Her name is Katherine. She is 50 years old. She is has brown hair and she is kind. She is generous also (aussi). She likes to go to the movies and to read novels.
Here is my dad. His name is Emanuel too (aussi)! He is 55 years old. He is serious and. He likes to eat chocolate and he likes to sing.
Here is my evil smelly step-mother. She is very fat and mean. She likes to sleep because (parce que) she is lazy. She like eating ice cream but prefers eating ice cream AND french fries at the same time (à la fois). She is fat.
Here is my brother. His name is Richard. He is 23 years old. He is tall and athletic (sportif). He likes to listen to modern music and play American football. He doesn’t like to read the newspaper. He prefers to read novels.
Here is my aunt. Her name is Lori. She is 40 years old. She is tall and generous. She likes to read with her son—my cousin!
Here is my uncle. His name is Bob. He is 42 years old. He is athletic. He likes to swim but he prefers to play soccer

Plagiarism & Online Translating Plagiarism is a form of academic dishonesty. Any student engaging in it will be asked to redo the project and meet with me and a member of the administration to discuss next steps.
Plagiarism & Online Translating Online Translators are useful tools but do not facilitate the language acquisition process for projects such as these. Use of online translators is easily identifiable in student work. Any student suspected of using it will be asked to replicate and explain at length the grammar, syntax, and structure of the phrase(s) in question. Failure to do so will result in a redo of the project a meeting with me and a member of the administration to discuss next steps.
