Introduction The following slides will explain the facts we know about the earths oceans and why it is an untapped energy resource that we can use to solve the worlds energy crisis. Pay close attention because you are about to come in contact with new knowledge that might be the answer we are looking for. Link Back To Beginning

What is Ocean Energy? Ocean energy covers a series of emerging technologies that use the power to of ocean currents waves and tides temperature differences to create energy ITS NOT THE ANSWER BUT IT IS ONE POSSIBLE SOLUTION Link Back To Beginning

Task1 Due to the growing Energy Crisis going on in our world we need to as a society to find alternative energies that can be an efficient answer to this problem. Link Back To Beginning

Task2 You are a Technologist/Inventor/Innovator who has taken the task of finding a solution to the worlds energy crisis. You have chosen the alternative energy of Ocean Energy. You will conduct research on the different types of Ocean Energies that exist and can be used to help the world with the energy crisis. This is not an easy task and if you do not succeed the world will be doomed. Good luck! Link Back To Beginning

Procedure 1. Match –up with one partner. 2. Choose an ocean energy technology from your instructor’s list or research one not on but must have approval from instructor. 3. Research the technology using the internet and follow the criteria below: What Ocean Energy Technology Who Designed It How Does The Technology Work Descriptions Of Where The Technology Can Be Implemented Cost Safety Issues: Environment, Wild/Aqualife, Humans Pictures To Support Your Information 4. Create a Power Point presentation to be presented to the rest of the class. Link Back To Beginning

Conclusion I hope you saved the world and found a new energy resource that can utilize the oceans energy. If you did Thank You very much! I also hope you learned how to use the web to find useful information and to learn how to use every possible useful resource to conquer any future tasks you will have to endure. You are now a Hero to Humankind be ready to help again because your journey has just begun. Link Back To Beginning

Teacher’s Page This project is intended for a 9 th grade Energy Course in a Technology Education class. The intent of this project is to teach students to effectively and efficiently research information on the internet, to become competent in using Microsoft Power Point. Most importantly to become knowledgeable through research of alternative energies and giving a presentation to work on social skills. To prepare for this project a teacher should pick a topic of choice and allow the students to research, gather information, and present their research to the rest of their peers. This project should take approximately three block classes(80 minutes) or six standard (40 minute) classes. The following lessons should go along with this project at the appropriate times. Web Quest Introduction Lesson How to Effectively Research the Web Microsoft Power Point Usage Link Back To Beginning
