Project Collaborative Community Space Ann Wyganowski November 1, 2011

Current Status / Site Review Crash course for some team members Sorry for confusion; reschedule quick start Site architecture strategy and design under construction Group spaces for major activity streams Internal Core Team work space, collaboration Content gathering and ranking E-Learning design collab space (portal to curriculum design tool – Moodle) Certification / registration (portal) Virtual Exercise development collab space and portal to games Project Governance – Steering committee, sub committees, etc.

How do we simplify the interface? Example Health PAGE Control what participants SEE via permission groups Folders, discussions, blog items, project news, etc.. NOTE: Everyone on Core Team will need to learn this in detail once constructed Group Space Folders to serve as: General drop box Document management and filing system Need to define Taxonomy requirements and instructions soon to allow for quick sorting, classification for e-Learning streams

Core Team Define rules for sharing content Define basic guidelines for who sees what, edits what We can model as we grow (initial design not set in stone) Need to decide/ confirm who owns which specialist pages and Group spaces (ADMINISTRATORS) Health (Paul & Laurie) Psychosocial (Janet & Alan) Communications & Technology General Participants(Ann & Ginette & Andrea) E-Learning / Curriculum (Marie) Virtual Exercise (Laurie / Ann) Governance (Trevor) Core Team (Ann) Home (Laurie / Ann)

Contributor Process Receive Invitation Join Community Contribute Content Evaluate ALL kinds of Content Invite Others to Community Start & Manage Discussion Threads Relate discussions to content under evaluation Vote on Content Edit & finalize Content

Membership Process Will need customization for New Member form Under discussion with IGLOO Ann will draft a process for all to review; Laurie has a good start on this already Ann needs to further document groups and roles May need some customization

Virtual Organization Membership /Participant Process Arrive at site and decide to join Complete registration info Stream to initial group of interest Self? Determine role in group Group Manager greets & validates roles, assignments Member explores, finds other related streams Member explores, establishes self as SME lead sub group, invites others Core Team manages content and members, what is published E-Exercise validates contributions and learnings on site

E-learning / site visitor Audiences Across all Streams of Expertise Pre-school (3-5) School (6-12) High school (13-18) Adult volunteer College University Professionals Integration Teams

Next steps Core Team Take ownership of pages and group spaces Continue to play and experiment (“break a leg”) Add example content and try out permissions structures (files, discussions, events, folders, taxonomy titles) Design own group space / wireframe page (see example in IGLOO folder) Content ranking process needs to be defined in detail and technical requirements documented Continue with integration requirements for e- Learning and Virtual Exercise
