Theatre Management And now for the event you’ve all been waiting for…

What is management?  Management: The act or art of conducting or supervising a business

Management Responsibility  Managers are in charge of handling all money matters for the theatre

What types of money matters?  Brainstorm all the financial matters that might happen in a theatre: From where does money come? Where does it go? How?

Who heads the management branch?  Producer: The person who oversees the business details of a theatrical production

Producer’s financial responsibilities… 1.) Secure rights to present the play 2.) Raise money 3.) Hire directors, designers, actors, staff 4.) Arrange for the rental of the theatre
