How does EDANZ support business?

The Economic Development Agency Network EDANZ is organised as 14 key regional groups at the governance level to provide national coverage. The 14 regional EDAs work with their local authorities to deliver programmes in the regions. ATEED is the largest, with several hundred staff; NREDA is one of the smallest, with three and a half. Services are varied, but fit to regional needs.

Regional Business Partnership Set up in 2010 to provide a single point of entry for businesses to access NZTE and MSI business support EDAs in each region are providing these services Direct Business Assessments Developing action plans Capability Development co- funding to raise management skills R&D support and co-funding to encourage innovation Indirect Information about other Government agencies Regional information and contacts – business support, economic information Facilitation of industry relationships, local government interfaces

To summarise: A One Stop Introduction Shop: Local EDAs are a great introduction to a region and the support available from a variety of sources Horses for Courses: Although we are connected, each region is different, so come and talk and find out what your EDA offers
