Next to that you use 1 copy of VCenter VSPP 2.0 Number of VM's Points per VM/CPU Total point usage VSphere Enterprise Plus 20 36 720 VCenter 1 314 Total points 1,034 VSPP 3.0 Vram per VM Number of VM's Points per Vram Total point usage VCloud Premier 3 20 15 900 Total points

How to start (with VSPP 3.0) Calculation example; You are using 20 VM’s “VSphere Enterprise Plus” with all 3 virtual RAM per VM. All VM’s will during the whole month. Next to that you use 1 copy of VCenter Advantages VSPP 3.0 to VSPP 2.0; For this specific example, you will save 134 points per month! You will get Chargeback (worth 47 points) for FREE! You will get VCloud Director for FREE! If the number of actual VRam hours will be lower, you will be charges less, for VSPP 2.0 you will be charges per peak VM’s per month.

How to start (with VSPP 3.0) Step 1 Enroll as VSPP partner on http://www.vmware.com/partners/vip/service-providers/ Step 2 Become VMWare Professional (for 360 & 1800 point commit), Enterprise (for 3600 and higher commit) or Premier partner

How to start (with VSPP 3.0) Step 3 Contact Insight, who will send you the agreement documents Step 4 Send Insight a duplicate copy of the signed VSPP agreement. Step 5 Insight will process your agreement and order the initial license keys Step 6 Install the metering software for easy reporting of the VRam usages Step 7 Install the software and start selling!

Pricing (VSPP 2.0)

FAQ’s Q Will I be able to use the new products (Zimbra, etc) with my current VSPP 2.0 agreement? A No, these new products are only available with partners that have a VSPP 3.0 agreement Q If I sign a new VSPP 3.0 agreement, what will happen with my VSPP 2.0 agreement? A Insight will automatically terminate your current agreement. The new agreement will run for another term of 12 months after signing. Q If I have a 1,800 point commit VSPP 2.0 agreement, can I sign a 1,800 VSPP 3.0 agreement? A Yes Q If I have a 1,800 point commit VSPP 2.0 agreement, can I sign a 360 VSPP 3.0 agreement? A No, the VSPP 3.0 agreement does not allow downgrades, unless you wait until your current VSPP 2.0 agreement expires.

FAQ’s Q When can I start with VSPP 3.0? A The operational “go live” is planned on December 1st. Q How does the metering software work? A When the program goes live, there will be several webinars, user guides and Insight support available. Q What will change in pricing A For a VSPP 2.0 agreement nothing will change. For VSPP 3.0 agreements pricing is not yet final. Due to the different way of calculating usage (VRam vs VM), the wider product range (easier to reach higher commit) and discounted point (View premier), your actual spend could be a lot lower! Q I’m not yet a VSPP partner, but would like to start. Should I wait for VSPP 3.0 or start right away? A Unless you only want to use the new products you can start today (with VSPP 2.0) and sign-up for the same commit under VSPP 3.0 once it’s live end of Q4. This way you can start hosting with VSphere products right away!
