A Honey Bee’s Life By: JohnDavid Barnett, Aaliyah Carter, Samantha Chick, Rose Geyer

Armor And Other Accessories All bees have stingers and exoskeletons. Some people think that bees just sting to be mean, but they're just trying to protect their selves or their hive. Stingers are basically natural weaponry of the bee’s body.

Flower Power Did you know, behind the feared stinger of many people, bees are actually major gardeners! Roses, daisies, sunflowers too! Bees do most of the gardening for you! Bees pollinate flower plants to help them bloom.

Queen Business Queen bees are the boss of the hive. They are the mothers too. Her only job is to produce. There is only one queen per hive. They are considered royalty.

The Bee Baby’s Crib Baby bees are sealed inside honey combs. They change into a pupa during this time. Baby bees are called larva. The baby bees are located closer to the middle of the hive. Bees, you work so hard, But your buzz makes me sleepy. Backyard lullaby. - Linda Sue Park

Want any honey, honey? Just like a housefly’s specialty to fly, a bee’s specialty is to make honey. Bees store honey in a wax hexagon called a honey comb. Sometimes, bees witness attacks from bears. This is because of the honey bears want to eat. Some bees fan the honey with their wings to make it cool.
