Why Floss? Brushing alone cleanses only 65%. Flossing cleans about 30% of the tooth's surface. You should only floss the teeth you want to keep!
Proper Flossing Technique Wind inches of floss around the middle fingers. For upper teeth: use thumbs. For lower teeth: use index fingers. Curve floss in a C-shape. Get in between teeth. Then floss in a head-to-toe motion until below the gumline when resistance is felt. Repeat with unused portions of floss. Note: Don't forget the back side of your last tooth.
