 He was the second most powerful person in the Kingdom.  He made sure that everything in the country was running smoothly.  He was usually the member of the Royal family.

 Nobles ruled the regions of Egypt.  They made sure that everything in their Region was going right.  They had to Obey the Pharaohs Orders  They had to be prepared to raise an army if the kingdom is attacked.

 The Priests had to keep the gods happy  They had to ask the normal people to give sacrifices such as food and drink to the gods  Every Priest had a different god to serve.

 Scribes were the only people that could read and write  They had to go to scribes school when they were children  When the write about the Pharaoh they had to describe him as a great ruler and strong commander even if he wasn't.  Only boys can be scribe  Scribe jobs:  writing letters for fellow villagers who couldn't write  recording the amount of crops harvested  calculating the amount of food needed to feed the tomb workers  keeping accounts and ordering supplies for temples and the Egytian army

 The soldiers had to defend the country from enemies  There were three types of soldiers: infantry who fought on ground, bowmen who attacked the enemy with arrows, and charioteers who rode on chariots.  Soldiers trained in Barracks when not in battle.

 Some craftsmen made baskets and pots for normal people and some were painters, sculptors, jewelry makers, leather workers, shoe makers, and goldsmiths for rich people
