MYTHS REALITY Roshni JSR  TOTAL EYE BALL IS TRANSPLANTED. ONLY THE CORNEA CAN BE TRANSPLANTED NOT THE WHOLE EYE BALL.  CORNEAS CAN BE DONATED WHILE THE DONOR IS ALIVE. PLEDGING IS DONE DURING LIFE.CORNEAS ARE REMOVED AFTER DEATH.  CORNEA CAN BE REMOVED EVEN LONG AFTER DEATH. CORNEA SHOULD BE REMOVED WITHIN 6-8 HOURS OF DEATH.

MYTHS REALITY Roshni JSR  CORNEAS ARE BOUGHT AND SOLD. CORNEAS ARE NEITHER SOLD NOR BOUGHT. DONATIONS ARE PURELY VOLUNTARY.  THE DONOR’S FACE IS DISFIGURED. THE DONOR’S FACE IS NOT DISFIGURED.

MYTHS REALITY Roshni JSR LONG TIME IS TAKEN FOR RETRIEVEL OF CORNEA FROM DEAD BODY. ONLY MINUTES IS NEEDED FOR RETRIEVAL. ALL TYPES OF BLINDNESS CAN BE CURED AND VISION RESTORED. ONLY CORNEAL BLINDNESS CAN BE CORRECTED. ALL CORNEAS HARVESTED ARE UTILIZED FOR TRANSPLANTION. AFTER EVALUATION,THE CORNEAS THAT ARE NOT SUITABLE FOR TRANSPLANTION ARE DISCARDED.

MYTHS REALITY Roshni JSR NO NEED TO SCREEN THE DONOR CORNEA FOR DISEASES. THE DONOR’S BLOOD IS TESTED FOR HEPATITIS/AIDS/VENEREAL DISEASES ETC. CORNEAS ARE REMOVED ONLY AT A HOSPITAL. THEY CAN BE REMOVED AT HOSPITAL OR EVEN AT RESIDENCE,WHEREVER DEATH OCCURS.
