Providing the answers to your recruitment needs BENEFITS Pension 36% of companies run a Stakeholder scheme 54% of companies run a Contributory scheme 9% of companies run a non Contributory scheme Medical/Health Insurance Many employers offer a scheme to employees where the employee, and sometimes their family, can benefit from private medical care if the circumstances warrant it. However, small employers do not generally offer this type of scheme and individuals may have to make their own arrangements. Of those surveyed 64% offer this scheme, however half of these were for senior staff only Life Assurance Most reasonably sized companies provide cover, some as much as four times the annual salary - the maximum amount the Inland Revenue will allow a scheme to pay out without any charge to tax. Over half of the companies surveyed offered this Company Car Company cars have lost the appeal that they once had due to changes in tax regulation, to be replaced by car allowances, unless there is specific requirement for a car as part of their role. A car, car allowance or equivalent salary tends to be offered at management level. Annual Leave 40% of those surveyed offered 20 days annual leave + statutory Bank Holidays 50% offered 25 days holiday, some entitlements coming in depending on length of service + statutory Bank Holidays 10% offered days holiday + statutory Bank Holidays
