Judgment – 1  Rev 20:11 Then I saw a great white throne and the one who sat on it; the earth and the heaven fled from his presence, and no place was found for them.

Judgment – 2  Revelation 20:12 And I saw the dead, great and small, standing before the throne, and books were opened. Also another book was opened, the book of life. And the dead were judged according to their works, as recorded in the books.

Sequence of Events  The modern reader will also wonder how it is possible to narrate the final judgment of the dead in v 12 though their “resurrection” is not mentioned until v 13. While it is possible that all of v 13 is a later insertion by the author, it is also possible that this is yet another instance of his use of hysteron-proteron, i.e., the arrangement of events in the reverse of their logical order (see 3:3, 17; 5:5; 6:4; 10:4, 9; 22:14). - Aune, Revelation, 1102.

After the Thousand Years  Rev 20:9-10 They marched up over the breadth of the earth and surrounded the camp of the saints and the beloved city. And fire came down from heaven and consumed them. And the devil who had deceived them was thrown into the lake of fire and sulfur, where the beast and the false prophet were, and they will be tormented day and night forever and ever.
