Rule #3 - Wiring  Every brain is wired differently  Everyone thinks in a different way.  Experiences shape our brains.

Rule #4 – Attention & Boring Things  We don’t pay attention to boring things.  Emotions matter  Multi-tasking is impossible.

WHAT DO YOU DO TO MAKE SURE YOU REMEMBER SOMETHING?

Rule #5 – Repeat to remember  Memories can come and go.  If you don’t repeat within 1.5 hours – you forget new information.

Rule #6 – Long-Term Memory  You have to repeat info within 30 seconds to remember it.  Short-term memory can only hold about 7 items.

DO YOU TAKE NAPS?

Rule #7 – Sleep Well  Naps increase brain power.  Some people are “morning people”  Some are “night”

HOW DO YOU REACT TO STRESS?

Rule #8 – Stressed Brains Don’t Learn  Stress can be good and bad.  Brains go into “survival” mode when you are stressed.  Stress in the home, school, work…. can hurt.

WHICH OF YOUR SENSES DO YOU THINK IS THE STRONGEST?

Rules #9 & 10  Multi-sensor learning is easiest to remember.  Vision is the most powerful sense.  You see what your brain wants to see.  Pictures make the most impact. Stimulate More SensesVision Rules

Rule #11 – Male & Female Brains are Different  Men favor gist when stressed  Women prefer details.  Not much is known about the differences
