An Apprenticeship is a real job with training so you can earn while you learn and pick up nationally recognised qualifications as you go. There are three levels of Apprenticeship a young person can apply for and progress through, depending on their current skills and qualifications: Intermediate Apprenticeship (level 2); Advanced Apprenticeship (level 3); Higher Apprenticeship (level 4 or above). There are up to 20,000 vacancies across England on the Apprenticeship vacancy section of the site right now, you can also download the ‘Av Search’ app for android or i-phone. To see real apprentices in action visit - there are series of sector specific films to highlight Apprenticeships in key industry sectors (e.g. IT, Finance, Creative Industries, Manufacturing, Construction, Care). For more information on Apprenticeships in England visit apprenticeships.org.uk apprenticeships.org.uk

Traineeships prepare young people to become ‘work ready’. If you’re not quite ready for an Apprenticeship, a Traineeship could give you the work preparation training, maths and English and work experience needed to move onto an Apprenticeship, Job or other training.
