National Parks Lake Louise National Park, Canada

What is a “National Park?” A national park is a park that is protected because it has important value. It could be important because it: 1. Has a rare landform/animal living in it. 2. Is very beautiful. 3. Is very natural and unpolluted.

What is a “National Park?” It usually has a river or lake in it. It usually has a beautiful landform in it. It also has different outdoor activities you can do in it!

Types of Landforms A canyon is a deep valley with steep sides and often with a stream flowing through it. Grand Canyon, USA

My park’s name is Chinada National Park. ◦ My park is located in Hunan Province, China. ◦ My park has a canyon where you can go rock climbing and it also has a river where you can go canoeing. Lastly, it has a waterfall at the top of a mountain that people like to hike to.

Chinada National Park China + Canada = Chinada!

Make your own National Park! In your notebook, you will: ◦ Name your park ◦ Decide where in the world your park is located ◦ Include at least 2 landforms in your park ◦ Include at least 2 different activities in your park ◦ Tell us why your park is the best park!!!

Conclusion National parks are important because they are beautiful and have a rare animal or landform living in it. National parks are fun to visit because there are many activities!
