Using Screen casting to Improve Feedback to Students Fiona Boughey St Paul’s Grammar

A screencast is a digital recording of computer screen output, also known as a video screen capture, often containing audio narration. What is a screencast?

Web apps Max time – 5 minutes More social – posts like a blog. Very quick and instant.

Simple to use – needs to be dowloaded. Hosted videos at Only 5 minute videos. Can’t edit afterwards. Free!

Movie maker

Full editing Add captions, zooming, highlighting Include an extra audio track
