Musa (Moses) Peace be upon him موسى عليه السلام واذكر في الكتاب موسى إنه كان مخلصا وكان رسولاً نبياً مريم 51

Musa peace be upon him "Go to Fir'aun, for he has indeed transgressed all bounds." The Confrontation with Pharaoh طه

Musa peace be upon him Pharaoh’s Tyranny and Transgression Verily, Fir‘aun (Pharaoh) exalted himself in the land and made its people sects, weakening (oppressing) a group (i.e. Children of Israel) among them: killing their sons, and letting their females live. Verily, he was of the corruptors (oppressors, tyrants). القصص

Musa peace be upon him (Pharaoh) Saying, "I am your Lord, most high." Pharaoh’s claim of Lordship النازعات

Musa peace be upon him Fir'aun said: "O Chiefs! no god do I know for you but myself: therefore, O Haman! light me a (kiln to bake bricks) out of clay, and build me a lofty palace, that I may mount up to the god of Musa: but as far as I am concerned I think (Musa) is a liar!" Pharaoh’s claim to being a Deity القصص

Musa peace be upon him "Go, both of you, to Fir‘aun (Pharaoh), verily, he has transgressed (all bounds in disbelief and disobedience and behaved as an arrogant and as a tyrant). "And speak to him mildly, perhaps he may accept admonition or fear (Allah)." The Confrontation with Pharaoh طه

Musa peace be upon him "So go you both to him, and say: ‘Verily, we are Messengers of your Lord, so let the Children of Israel go with us, and torment them not; indeed, we have come with a sign from your Lord! And peace will be upon him who follows the guidance! "Truly, it has been revealed to us that the torment will be for him who denies [believes not in the Oneness of Allah, and in His Messengers.], and turns away (from the truth and obedience of Allah)." The Message to Pharaoh

Musa peace be upon him Acknowledge the Lordship of Allah over you! Acknowledge the Oneness of Allah! Acknowledge the Messengers of Allah! Release the Children of Israel and Stop tormenting them! Peace be upon those who follow Guidance (Glad tiding of reward) Beware of the wrath of Allah if you reject! (Warning of punishment) The Message to Pharaoh

Musa peace be upon him [Fir‘aun (Pharaoh)] said [to Musa (Moses)]: "Did we not bring you up among us as a child? And you did dwell many years of your life with us. "And you did your deed, which you did (i.e. the crime of killing a man) while you were one of the ingrates." Pharaoh’s Arrogance and belittling Musa الشعراء

Musa peace be upon him Arrogance and Belittling the callers to Allah. Personal Attacks and Character Assassination Pharaoh’s Tactics and Ways of Rejecting the Truth

Musa peace be upon him Musa (Moses) said: "I did it then, when I was ignorant (as regards my Lord and His Message). "So I fled from you when I feared you. But my Lord has granted me wisdom (i.e. religious knowledge, right judgment of the affairs and Prophethood), and made me one of the Messengers. "And this is the past favor with which you reproach me: that you have enslaved the Children of Israel." Musa’s Answer الشعراء

Musa peace be upon him Adherence to the Message and Facts Caller’s to Allah’s ways of Facing Tyranny

Musa peace be upon him Fir‘aun (Pharaoh) said: "And what is the Lord of the Worlds?" [Musa (Moses)] said: "The Lord of the heavens and the earth, and all that is between them, if you seek to be convinced with certainty." [Fir‘aun (Pharaoh)] said to those around: "Do you not hear (what he says)?" [Musa (Moses)] said: "Your Lord and the Lord of your ancient fathers!" [Fir‘aun (Pharaoh)] said: "Verily, your Messenger who has been sent to you is a madman!" [Musa (Moses)] said: "Lord of the east and the west, and all that is between them, if you did but understand!" The Confrontation with Pharaoh الشعراء

Musa peace be upon him Arrogance and Belittling the callers to Allah. Personal Attacks and Character Assassination Ridicule and Sarcasm Name-calling (labeling) and Accusations Pharaoh’s Tactics and Ways of Rejecting the Truth

Musa peace be upon him Fir‘aun said: "Who then, O Musa, is the Lord of you two?" [Musa] said: "Our Lord is He Who gave to each thing its form and nature, then guided it aright." [Fir‘aun] said: "What about the generations of old?" [Musa] said: "The knowledge thereof is with my Lord, in a Record. My Lord neither errs nor He forgets." Who has made earth for you like a bed (spread out); and has opened roads (ways and paths) for you therein, and has sent down water (rain) from the sky. And We have brought forth with it various kinds of vegetation. Eat and pasture your cattle (therein); verily, in this are Ayat (proofs and signs) for men of understanding. Thereof (the earth) We created you, and into it We shall return you, and from it We shall bring you out once again. طه

Musa peace be upon him Arrogance and Belittling the callers to Allah. Personal Attacks and Character Assassination Ridicule and Sarcasm Name-calling (labeling) and Accusations Futile pointless arguments. Pharaoh’s Tactics and Ways of Rejecting the Truth

Musa peace be upon him [Fir‘aun] said: "If you choose a god other than me, I will certainly put you among the prisoners." [Musa] said: "Even if I bring you something manifest (and convincing)?" [Fir‘aun] said: "Bring it forth then, if you are of the truthful!" So [Musa] threw his stick, and behold, it was a serpent, manifest. And he drew out his hand, and behold, it was white to all beholders! [Fir‘aun] said to the chiefs around him: "Verily! This is indeed a well-versed sorcerer. "He wants to drive you out of your land by his sorcery: what is it then that you command?" The Confrontation with Pharaoh الشعراء

Musa peace be upon him The chiefs of the people of Fir‘aun (Pharaoh) said: "This is indeed a well-versed sorcerer; "He wants to get you out of your land, so what do you advise?" They said: "Put him and his brother off (for a time), and send callers to the cities to collect - "That they bring up to you all well- versed sorcerers." The Challenge of Pharaoh and his Chiefs الأعراف

Musa peace be upon him Arrogance and Belittling the callers to Allah. Personal Attacks and Character Assassination Ridicule and Sarcasm Name-calling (labeling) and Accusations Futile pointless arguments. Violence, Imprisonments, etc. Soliciting the Support of the Elite, who benefit from the presence of Tyranny. Pharaoh’s Tactics and Ways of Rejecting the Truth

Musa peace be upon him And indeed We showed him [Fir‘aun] all Our Ayat (signs and evidence), but he denied and refused. He [Fir‘aun (Pharaoh)] said: "Have you come to drive us out of our land with your magic, O Musa (Moses)? "Then verily, we can produce magic the like thereof; so appoint a meeting between us and you, which neither we nor you shall fail to keep, in an open place where both shall have a just and equal chance (and beholders could witness the competition)." [Musa (Moses)] said: "Your appointed meeting is the day of the festival, and let the people assemble when the sun has risen (forenoon)." The Challenge of Pharaoh and his Chiefs طه

Musa peace be upon him So the sorcerers were assembled at a fixed time on a day appointed. And it was said to the people: "Are you (too) going to assemble? "That we may follow the sorcerers [who were on Fir'awn's (Pharaoh) religion of disbelief] if they are the winners." So when the sorcerers arrived, they said to Fir‘aun (Pharaoh): "Will there surely be a reward for us if we are the winners?" He said: "Yes, and you shall then verily be of those brought near (to myself)." The Sorcerers الشعراء

Musa peace be upon him Musa (Moses) said to them: "Woe unto you! Invent not a lie against Allah, lest He should destroy you completely by a torment. And surely, he who invents a lie (against Allah) will fail miserably." Then they debated one with another what they must do, and they kept their talk secret. They said: "Verily these are two magicians. Their object is to drive you out from your land with magic, and overcome your chiefs and nobles. "So devise your plot, and then assemble in line. And whoever overcomes this day will be indeed successful." The Sorcerers طه

Musa peace be upon him They said: "O Musa (Moses)! Either you throw (first), or shall we have the (first) throw?" He [Musa (Moses)] said: "Throw you (first)." So when they threw, they bewitched the eyes of the people, and struck terror into them, and they displayed a great magic. The Sorcerers الأعراف

Musa peace be upon him So Musa (Moses) conceived fear in himself. We (Allah) said: "Fear not! Surely, you will have the upper hand. "And throw that which is in your right hand! It will swallow up that which they have made. That which they have made is only a magician’s trick, and the magician will never be successful, to whatever amount (of skill) he may attain." The Sorcerers طه

Musa peace be upon him Then when they had cast down, Musa (Moses) said: "What you have brought is sorcery; Allah will surely make it of no effect. Verily, Allah does not set right the work of corrupters. "And Allah will establish and make apparent the truth by His Words, however much the criminals (disbelievers, polytheists, sinners) may hate it." The Sorcerers يونس

Musa peace be upon him And We revealed to Musa (Moses) (saying): "Throw your stick," and behold! It swallowed up straight away all the falsehoods which they showed. Thus truth was confirmed, and all that they did was made of no effect. So they were defeated there and returned disgraced. And the sorcerers fell down prostrate. They said: "We believe in the Lord of the Worlds "The Lord of Musa (Moses) and Harun (Aaron)." The Sorcerers الأعراف

Musa peace be upon him Fir‘aun (Pharaoh) said: "You have believed in him [Musa (Moses)] before I give you permission. Surely, this is a plot which you have plotted in the city to drive out its people, but you shall come to know. The Sorcerers الأعراف Conspiracy Accusations

Musa peace be upon him [Fir‘aun (Pharaoh)] said: "Believe you in him [Musa (Moses)] before I give you permission? Verily he is your chief who has taught you magic. So I will surely cut off your hands and feet on opposite sides, and I will surely crucify you on the trunks of date-palms, and you shall surely know which of us [I (Fir‘aun - Pharaoh) or the Lord of Musa (Moses) (Allah)] can give the severe and more lasting torment." The Sorcerers طه

Musa peace be upon him They said: "No harm! Surely, to our Lord (Allah) we are to return. "Verily we really hope that our Lord will forgive us our sins, as we are the first of the believers [in Musa (Moses) and in the Monotheism which he has brought from Allah]." The Martyrs الشعراء

Musa peace be upon him They said: "We prefer you not over what have come to us of the clear signs and to Him (Allah) Who created us. So decree whatever you desire to decree, for you can only decree (regarding) this life of the world. "Verily we have believed in our Lord, that He may forgive us our faults, and the magic to which you did compel us. And Allah is better as regards reward in comparison to your [Fir'awn's (Pharaoh)] reward, and more lasting (as regards punishment in comparison to your punishment)." Verily whoever comes to his Lord as a criminal then surely, for him is Hell, wherein he will neither die nor live. But whoever comes to Him (Allah) as a believer, and has done righteous good deeds, for such are the high ranks (in the Hereafter), ‘Adn (Eden) Paradise (everlasting Gardens), under which rivers flow, wherein they will abide forever: such is the reward of those who purify themselves. The Martyrs طه

Musa peace be upon him The chiefs of Fir'awn's (Pharaoh) people said: "Will you leave Musa (Moses) and his people to spread mischief in the land, and to abandon you and your gods?" He (Fir'awn) said: "We will kill their sons, and let live their women, and we have indeed irresistible power over them." Musa (Moses) said to his people: "Seek help in Allah and be patient. Verily, the earth is Allah's. He gives it as a heritage to whom He wills of His slaves; and the (blessed) end is for the pious." الأعراف The Oppression and Persecution

Musa peace be upon him They said: "We (Children of Israel) had suffered troubles before you came to us, and since you have come to us." He said: "It may be that your Lord will destroy your enemy and make you successors on the earth, so that He may see how you act?" الأعراف The Endurance and Patience

Musa peace be upon him Adherence to the Message and Facts Display of Proofs and Signs of God Patience Caller’s to Allah’s ways of Facing Tyranny

Musa peace be upon him And Musa (Moses) said: "O my people! If you have believed in Allah, then put your trust in Him if you are Muslims (those who submit to Allah's Will)." They said: "In Allah we put our trust. Our Lord! Make us not a trial for the folk who are wrong- doers. "And save us by Your Mercy from the disbelieving folk." The Reliance on Allah يونس

Musa peace be upon him Adherence to the Message and Facts Display of Proofs and Signs of God Patience Trust and Allah and Reliance upon Him Caller’s to Allah’s ways of Facing Tyranny

Musa peace be upon him And We revealed to Musa (Moses) and his brother (saying): "Provide dwellings for your people in Egypt, and make your dwellings as places for your worship, and perform As-Salat and give glad tidings to the believers." The Power of Prayers يونس

Musa peace be upon him Adherence to the Message and Facts Display of Proofs and Signs of God Patience Trust and Allah and Reliance upon Him Salat and Remembrance of Allah Caller’s to Allah’s ways of Facing Tyranny

Musa peace be upon him And Fir‘aun (Pharaoh) proclaimed among his people (saying): "O my people! Is not mine the dominion of Egypt, and these rivers flowing underneath me. See you not then? "Am I not better than this one [Musa (Moses)] who is despicable and can scarcely express himself clearly? "Why then are not golden bracelets bestowed on him, or angels sent along with him?" Thus he [Fir‘aun (Pharaoh)] befooled (and misled) his people, and they obeyed him. Verily, they were ever a people who were rebellious, disobedient to Allah. The Rhetoric of Fir'awn الزخرف

Musa peace be upon him Rhetoric of Tyranny: –I am more powerful, I must be right! –I am richer, I must be right! –I have better propaganda, you must believe me! Pharaoh’s Tactics and Ways of Rejecting the Truth

Musa peace be upon him Fir‘aun (Pharaoh) said: "Leave me to kill Musa (Moses), and let him call his Lord (to stop me from killing him)! I fear that he may change your religion, or that he may cause mischief corruption) to appear in the land!" Musa (Moses) said: "Verily I seek refuge in my Lord and your Lord from every arrogant who believes not in the Day of Reckoning!" The Plot to Kill Musa غافر

Musa peace be upon him Rhetoric of Tyranny: –I am more powerful, I must be right! –I am richer, I must be right! –I have better propaganda, you must believe me! Violence and Murder Hiding behind a false veil of “Righteousness” Pharaoh’s Tactics and Ways of Rejecting the Truth

Musa peace be upon him And a believing man of Fir'awn's (Pharaoh) family, who hid his faith said: "Would you kill a man because he says: My Lord is Allah, and he has come to you with clear signs (proofs) from your Lord? And if he is a liar, upon him will be (the sin of) his lie; but if he is telling the truth, then some of that (calamity) wherewith he threatens you will befall on you." Verily, Allah guides not one who is a oppressor, (transgressor), a liar! "O my people! Yours is the kingdom today, you being dominant in the land. But who will save us from the Torment of Allah, should it befall us?" Fir‘aun (Pharaoh) said: "I show you only that which I see (correct), and I guide you only to the path of right policy!” The Believer of Fir’awn’s Family غافر

Musa peace be upon him And he who believed said: "O my people! Verily, I fear for you a fate like that day (of disaster) of the Confederates (of old)! "Like the fate of the people of Nooh (Noah), and ‘Âd, and Thamud and those who came after them. And Allah wills no injustice for (His) slaves. "And, O my people! Verily, I fear for you the Day when there will be mutual calling (between the people of Hell and of Paradise)." A Day when you will turn your backs and flee having no protector from Allah. And whomsoever Allah sends astray, for him there is no guide. The Believer of Fir’awn’s Family غافر

Musa peace be upon him Adherence to the Message and Facts Display of Proofs and Signs of God Patience Trust and Allah and Reliance upon Him Salat and Remembrance of Allah Logical and Common Sense Arguments Reminding of Allah’s way and the end of others who reject the truth. Caller’s to Allah’s ways of Facing Tyranny

Musa peace be upon him And indeed Yusuf (Joseph) did come to you, in times gone by, with clear signs, but you ceased not to doubt in that which he did bring to you: till when he died you said: "No Messenger will Allah send after him." Thus Allah leaves astray him who is an oppressor, (transgressor in sin) and who doubts (Allah's Warning and His Oneness). Those who dispute about the Ayat (proofs, signs, revelations) of Allah, without any authority that has come to them, it is greatly hateful and disgusting to Allah and to those who believe. Thus does Allah seal up the heart of every arrogant, tyrant. (So they cannot guide themselves to the Right Path). The Believer of Fir’awn’s Family غافر

Musa peace be upon him Fir‘aun (Pharaoh) said: "O chiefs! I know not that you have a god other than me. So kindle for me (a fire), O Haman, to bake (bricks out of) clay, and set up for me a lofty tower in order that I may look at (or look for) the God of Musa (Moses); and verily, I think that he [Musa (Moses)] is one of the liars." And he and his soldiers (helpers) were arrogant in the land, without right, and they thought that they would never return to Us. The Rhetoric of Fir'awn القصص

Musa peace be upon him And Fir‘aun (Pharaoh) said: "O Haman! Build me a tower that I may arrive at the ways - "The ways of the heavens, and I may look upon the God of Musa (Moses): But verily, I think him to be a liar." Thus it was made fair-seeming, in Fir'awn's (Pharaoh) eyes, the evil of his deeds, and he was hindered from the (Right) Path; and the plot of Fir‘aun (Pharaoh) led to nothing but loss and destruction (for him and his followers). And the man who believed said: "O my people! Follow me, I will guide you to the way of right path The Rhetoric of Fir'awn غافر

Musa peace be upon him Rhetoric of Tyranny: –I am more powerful, I must be right! –I am richer, I must be right! –I have better propaganda, you must believe me! Violence and Murder Hiding behind a false veil of “Righteousness” Ridiculous arguments relying on the blindness and misguidance of the followers. Pharaoh’s Tactics and Ways of Rejecting the Truth

Musa peace be upon him And the man who believed said: "O my people! Follow me, I will guide you to the way of right path. "O my people! Truly, this life of the world is nothing but a (quick passing) enjoyment, and verily, the Hereafter that is the home that will remain forever." "Whosoever does an evil deed, will not be requited except the like thereof; and whosoever does a righteous deed, whether male or female and is a true believer (in the Oneness of Allah), such will enter Paradise, where they will be provided therein (with all things in abundance) without limit. The Believer of Fir’awn’s Family غافر

Musa peace be upon him "And O my people! How is it that I call you to salvation while you call me to the Fire! "You invite me to disbelieve in Allah, and to join partners in worship with Him of which I have no knowledge; and I invite you to the All-Mighty, the Oft-Forgiving! "No doubt you call me to (worship) one who cannot grant (me) my request (or respond to my invocation) in this world or in the Hereafter. And our return will be to Allah, and the transgressors (of Allah's set limits): they shall be the dwellers of the Fire!

Reminders of The Hereafter and the inevitable end. Caller’s to Allah’s ways of Facing Tyranny

Musa peace be upon him "And you will remember what I am telling you, and my affair I leave it to Allah. Verily, Allah is the All-Seer of (His) slaves." So Allah saved him from the evils that they plotted (against him), while an evil torment encompassed Fir'awn's (Pharaoh) people. The Fire, they are exposed to it, morning and afternoon. And on the Day when the Hour will be established (it will be said to the angels): "Cause Fir'awn's (Pharaoh) people to enter the most severe torment!" The Believer of Fir’awn’s Family غافر
