Pondamania: Exploring Pond Viability Project Overview Teacher Planning Work Samples & Reflections Teaching Resources Assessment & Standards Classroom Teacher Guide Pre-service Teacher Guide Staff Developer Guide Office Training Resources Learning Areas Levels Objectives Software Description Mathematics, Science, Language Arts 12- to 14-year-olds Evaluate the physical, chemical, and biological status of the water from two sources. Compare data from the two environments and make conclusions. Compare results with the results in the Global Water Project database and prepare a written analysis. Identify organisms in both pond environments. Evaluate usage criteria and the impact of that usage on water quality Microsoft Office (PowerPoint, Excel), Microsoft Publisher and Microsoft Internet Explorer In this interdisciplinary unit, students employ mathematics, science, and language arts skills to solve problems that involve the investigation of water quality in a natural pond and in a student-made pond.
