Habitats and Food Chains

What is a habitat? A habitat is a place where plants and animals live. Grassy and warm Cold and snowy Hot and dry Wet and grassy

In a habitat, animals can find the food, homes, and water they need to live. Different plants also need different habitats to live in. Each habitat has its own kind of soil.

Discussion How do plants and animals use each other? What do different animals eat?

Food Chains A food chain is a model of how living things get the food they need. Most food chains start with the sun!

Predators and Prey Animals can eat plants or other animals. An animal that hunts another animal for food is called a predator. Animals that are hunted by predators are called prey. Predator
