American Chiropractic Association Goal 3: Public Awareness ACA maintains an aggressive, ongoing multi- faceted public awareness program to educate the public on the importance of conservative health care options offered by DCs as wellness experts and to motivate the public to follow good health habits for optimum function and wellness.

American Chiropractic Association Goal 3 Objectives: Public Awareness Develop a positive image of the chiropractic profession. Increase the public’s utilization of appropriate chiropractic care. Establish DCs as the health and wellness experts. Promote high ethics.

American Chiropractic Association Goal 4: Quality Patient-Centered Healthcare Continue to improve and promote the quality of chiropractic care and promote positive changes in our health care system.

American Chiropractic Association Goal 4 Objectives: Promote Quality Patient- Centered Health Care by: Providing educational products, programs and services. Communicating the positive outcomes, benefits and cost- effectiveness of chiropractic care. Supporting ACC, CCE, NBCE in educating and testing new DCs. Promoting high ethics in the health care system and within our profession. Promoting our profession as a career of choice to attract high quality student prospects. Improving quality in the health care system.

American Chiropractic Association Goal 5: Visionary Leadership Lead the profession with a visionary plan to fulfill our mission for the benefit of patients – present and future.

American Chiropractic Association Goal 5 Objectives: Visionary Leadership Assess the needs of the profession. Ensure that the long range plan is dynamic and well-communicated – resulting in positive change. Facilitate consensus- building and unity of action. Position DCs as the conservative primary care provider of choice. Proactively communicate the art, science and philosophy of chiropractic.

American Chiropractic Association Goal 6: DCs as Decision Makers Protect the chiropractic profession and improve the public health by increasing the participation of ACA members in state and national legislative positions, coalitions, agencies, organizations and other decision-making entities.

American Chiropractic Association Goal 6 Objectives: DCs as Decision Makers Secure positions for DCs in policy-making positions of the federal government, in addition to current positions in: DOD Oversight Committee VA Advisory Committee CMS PPAC Develop relationships with other professions and organizations to benefit the chiropractic profession and our patients. Increase political activity and involvement in political campaigns by doctors of chiropractic.
