TM Notes: Totals may not add to 100% due to rounding Statistical testing (two tailed t-test, 95% confidence) has been conducted to compare each reporting region to the New Zealand average. –Figures in red indicate where the result for that region is significantly higher than the New Zealand average. –Figures in blue indicate where the result for that region is significantly lower than the New Zealand average. (NB Stats tests are not yet included in this report but are in progress) Scale questions are presented here in the form of average scores for ease of interpretation. TM Appendix 1: Was there anything BCITO could have done to help you during this time?  Better communication.  Block courses instead of doing it alone.  Could have a found a new employer.  Have not heard a word since I left my firm 4 months ago. I thought it was up to them to help find you a new employer. That it was their perogative.  Lack of contact from trainer did not help as my whole reason for doing this was to get qualified. I have already done an apprenticeship but I don't have the papers to be formally qualified. They did not really follow up with contact after I gave them all my  Most of the jobs they tried were wanting a builder at apprentice wages.  My assessor actually offered to hook me up with someone after the firm I was with went into liquidation but I had already managed to get a job on my own. I have just joined up with BCITO again today.  No clear indication what my money was getting me. They want my money but when they came out to see me they said they couldn't assess me as my boss hadn't done what he was meant to.  Talking to me in person.  They could have tried to find work and talked to my employer more. After 3 months he laid me off and so they cancelled my apprenticeship and I haven't heard from them since. It seems that people who drip feed their payments get more attention but I paid all  They could have worked with me. The theory could have been marked off anywhere I believe. My practical only has one unit to be signed off but have had problems getting employment and all the builders I have talked to don't have any "formwork up to 1.2m" co 14  Be more hands on. Like to see them so I can be signed off.  Communicate a bit better. They did not get references from my previous bosses so that I could get things signed off which meant that I had to redo things.  Could have rung up or called in more to see how the apprenticeship was going.  Cut me some slack. Still doing bookwork but not able to afford to pay the bill so at the moment I can't get anything ticked off.  Got very little help when my previous employer had cancelled my agreement. My trainer did not mention it and when I shifted they new adviser could not find me on the books so that was when I found out my training had been stopped.  Help find new job.  More contact from adviser would have been a help and some input to getting a job with a new employer after my boss moved away.  My assessor could have communicated with whom will be my new assessor to help push things along when he found out that i had left my job for another one to get more experience he was shitty with me WTF for someone like me carpentry is what i do it is all i w  Would like it to be international so that I could keep doing it in Australia. NorthernMidlands

TM  Haven't helped me to find work.  Introduced employers to me.  Stop changing the rules every time i go for signoff- keep moving the goal posts. very unclear as to what i have to do to get signed off.  They could have stepped in to help his apprentices come to some compromise and make him abide by his contract. He did not give training he just wanted to send us off on our own to get as much money in as he could.  We had to wait for the new course to come through but our adviser couldn't really do anything to speed this up it was just we had to wait quite a long time. 15  Be more hands on. Like to see them so I can be signed off.  Contact my new employer.  Fees are charged each year so even if you join in November you pay the full amount for that year. I think it should be done monthly, not annually. In my case I didn't want to incur another year's fees while I was getting sorted changing employers. Also the a  Found a new employer.  I have not had anything signed off and been doing it for several years so I am not sure what is going on.  I haven't seen anyone for about 8 months and as far as I am concerned I am still doing the training. They took a payment out of my account just the other week so I am starting to feel really pissed off.  The guy was good and he did point things out so that I knew what I should be learning and so my boss will hopefully do it so I can start up again.  Was not doing enough at the firm where I was to cover the course work, built 3 houses in 3 years so it felt like I was going nowhere. My adviser wasn't much help. CentralSouthern
