Where is Mexico? North America

Who is helping me Volunteer? Projects Abroad is a leading overseas organisation. Volunteering on one of their projects give you the opportunity to become part of a new community of one of 27 developing countries to work and live beside local people and understand their world.

How did projects abroad start? In the early 1990s, students wanted a "gap year," so they went to their geography professor about traveling and working in Eastern Europe. The professor, Dr. Peter Slowe set around arranging for his students to go and teach English in Romania where he knew some fellow professors. This was how Projects Abroad began in 1992.

What Am I doing to help? I am going to Mexico for 3 months to keep the children entertained with activities while they wait for treatment. I will be helping and putting fun into the children’s hard daily lives by providing emotional and physical support.

Why mexico? Children in Mexico face many tremendous health problems. They are faced with health problems such as malnutrition, avitaminosis, anemia, dysentery, and infectious diseases.
