I would be suitable for this job because I love to help educate students and watch them grow. I’m a very patient person so the children will not bother me. Interacting with people is something I am fairly good at. I have several qualities in being a good teacher and I hope someday to fulfill it.

 Some of the challenges to teaching young kids is not getting frustrated when they don’t know the answers.  Another challenge for me is putting up with crying kids. I tend to get frustrated with kids that cry a lot. Those are some challenges I will face in the teaching business.

 Some rewards that will come out of teaching is helping kids to achieve goals whether physical or mental.  Another reward that comes out of it is being impacted by people that you thought could never impact you. Those are a few examples of rewards that will come out of teaching.

1. Why did you go into the teaching profession? Answer: I originally wanted to be a pharmacist. I decided after a year or two that wasn’t for me. I chose teaching because I love kids and I felt it would be really rewarding. 2. How many years did it take to get your degree? Which degree did you get and why? Answer: It took me 4 years to get my bachelors degree. After teaching for 5 years I went back to a cohort program for 1 ½ years to get my masters so I could earn more money.

3. What are the pros and cons of teaching? Answer: pros- never boring, very rewarding, summers off cons- very hard work, on your feet all day, your work day doesn’t end when the school day is over (Mrs. Cochran- kindergarten teacher)
