Background:  Hot Body Pty Ltd T/A TattXTract was part of the Hairfree group of Companies originally T/A the Tattfree Centre. Hairfree was established in 2004 and has grown to be Australia’s largest Hair Removal specialists with clinics located throughout the country.  We believe there is a huge and growing market in Tattoo Removal especially the new technology of non-laser. The non-laser Tattoo Removal machine is exclusive to TattXTract Licencees and is a very effective way of removing tattoo’s. The non-laser tattoo removal machine is unique in that it is colour blind and can remove any coloured ink and extracts the ink out of the body. Laser typically only removes black and some reds and blasts the tattoo pigment into body which dissolves via the lymphatic system, a method some people do not agree with.  We are looking for licencees that are enthusiastic, motivated, willing the learn of art of removing tattoo’s, driven by success and have the financial means to ensure the success of their TattXTract business. The systems aren’t difficult to learn, its like anything new, at first it may seem difficult but we offer full support and training  TattXTract is one the first LASER FREE tattoo removal services to offer injectable numbing by our doctors for treatments to ensure they are PAINFREE  A TattXTract Licence is a perfect “bolt on” business for an existing Clinical Clinic, Beauty Salon or Tattoo Parlour.

How does the Non Laser Tattoo Removal Machine Work:  Our Tattoo removal treatments are designed to remove a tattoo in a series of visits. The number of visits depends on the size of the tattoo, an average size tattoo will generally need visits.  We use a proprietary fluid to bring the tattoo pigment to the surface and extract if from the body in the form of a scab. Once the scab falls off there is no more pigment and the underlying skin is clear.  The Non-Laser tattoo removal machine works by lightly abrading the tattooed area of the skin with a special hand piece which is similar to the one used when you are having a tattoo. Treatments are confined to the very top layer of the dermis (skin). The procedure is similar to getting a tattoo, however its ‘Tattoo Reversal’.  The tattooed area is cleaned with an alcohol based disinfectant before the Technician begins abrading the skin working in a systematic grid pattern across the tattoo, at the same time a proprietary fluid contacts the skin drawing out the pigment.  Once the procedure is completed the skin is cleaned again and a healing gel is applied and covered in gauze. A scab will start to form within minutes, and over the next 2 weeks the scab will fall off taking the pigment from the tattoo. Further treatments are done approximately 12 weeks apart.

Certificates and Licencing  To become a non-laser tattoo removal technician, you must obtain a Statement of Attainment for the following course offered through Queensland Tafe.  HLTSS00014 – Maintain Infection Control Standards in Office Practice Settings  This course is undertaken by correspondence. There are approximately 8 video assessments which are also required, TattXTract can assist with these video assessments.  Every council has different requirements for Non-Laser Tattoo Removal, so it is important to check with your local council if you are required to carry the following council license:  Higher Risk Personal Appearance  TattXTract can provide assistance in obtaining a Council Licence if this is required.  Your certificates and licences must be displayed in your clinic.

Training:  Comprehensive training and backup for the life of the licence is provided.  Training will entail theory and practical. A minimum of 10 Models are required/supplied for your practical training, you can also provide your own clients for this training. Training is offered at Head office in Mackay. Licence v Franchise:  TattXTract is offered as a Licence rather than a Franchise because a Licence provides far more flexibility. For example an existing business may find it hard to comply with a Franchise Agreement because the type of services they now offer may conflict with the Franchise business. The same applies to a startup licence that may wish to add services or products after the business is established.

What does it cost?  A TattXTract licence is $35,000+gst  There is no monthly licence fees  Treatment kits are $50+gst.  There could be startup costs such as any fitout or alteration to premises that may be required.  Any Furniture as required, signwriting and consumables.  Booking system is approximately $19 per month  A monthly contribution for Google ads for your region is encouraged

Income:  Our recommended price for an average size tattoo treatment is $400. An example of the type of income that could be made from a TattXTract business could be based on the assumption that if you can attract 4 new clients each week. By the 10 th week you should be doing 2 nd treatments which means you should be doing 8 treatments per week. Then by the 20 th week with clients returning for 2 nd and 3 rd treatments you should be doing 12 treatments per week. Then by the 40 th week it should be 16 treatments per week.  16 treatments at $400 would give you a gross income of $6,400.  This is only an example and shouldn’t be viewed as an expected standard income for a TattXTract licence. TattXTract licencees can expect that their income will vary dependent on many things including location, business hours, local promotion/advertising, demographic’s etc.
