Eleftherios Venizelos Eleftherios was born on 1864 in Crete. He went to the university of Athens for college and studied law.Once he was out of school he helped draft the constitution for Greece and became a member of the government by Prince George. After Eleftherios moved from Crete to Athens, he became Prime Minister and leader of the Liberal Party. As the leader, he formed many alliances with Greece’s northern bordering states so they would not form a war. In1916, Eleftherios established a rival provisional government in Thessaloniki. This would influence politics for decades. In 1935, Eleftherios was forced to leave and live in France. Eleftherios died a year later of old age.
