4SS 21-Jun-2006 The revelation – the country was on the move Despite having power for only two or three hours a day, people were  Trying to connect to the rest of the world  Watching color television at the village  Taking courses in computers  And, cell phones were coming

5SS 21-Jun-2006 So by the time I left ONGC, Reliance, Cairn, Nico, Shell, Selan, Oil, BG… As Schlumberger, we had: doubled our Oilfield Services business helped drill the first deepwater well sold 6 million smart cards incl. the petro-card installed the first smart fuel stations established factories for Electricity and Gas Meters

7SS 21-Jun-2006 Bottom Line There are many challenges: trained management infrastructure many things have gone from 32 years to 32 minutes – others still are at the same pace But, more importantly, there are great opportunities in India!!!
