Finance Status C. Chatry, TRAD, S. McClure, JPL 3 Includes VAT paid to France ($121,380) and the expected VAT return ($69,174) Estimated return at beginning of conference was 15-16% Slightly higher return due to: –Favorable exchange rates during final invoice payouts after conference and increased number of walk-in registrations

Finance Status C. Chatry, TRAD, S. 2015 NSREC Conference Chair, Mike Xapsos, NASA GSFC “Practical Problems in Spacecraft Design” is the theme of this year’s short course –Patrick O’Neill, JSC, will talk about the radiation environment inside spacecraft –Leif Scheick, JPL, will talk about power sources and power distribution –Mark Robbins, Surrey Electronics, will talk about radiation effects in optical imaging systems –Joe Mazur, Aerospace Corp., will talk about charging phenomena and associated hazards Social program is being finalized –New England clambake on Thompson Island –Day trip to Lowell (first Urban National Park) –JFK Presidential Library/Museum and Faneuil Hall
