Nature of work Pharmaceutical sales representatives are employed by drug companies The distribute information about their companies’ products to physicians, hospital nurses, and medical technicians. They don’t take drug orders from the physicians but instead try to persuade them to prescribe more of their companies’ drugs

Education & Training Bachelor’s degree in an area related to pharmaceutical studies On-the-job training which consists of intensive study followed by supervised field work

Salary range Entry Level - $ 38,555 Experienced Marketing Executives - $ 65,464
Work Conditions Employees who have a pharmaceutical/ medical marketing job, will be required to travel most of the time because they deal with outside sales They only spend about 5 or 6 minutes with physicians Work about 40 hours a week
