What then Can we pray for? Three directions to our prayers
1) Inward for Personal Transformation We are already citizens of God’s Kingdom… so let’s pray that God will help us to live like it! What area of ‘our’ Kingdom do we need to say to God ‘Your Kingdom come’?
2) Outward for Evangelism and change in Society We want God’s kingdom to grow as more people put their trust in Jesus We want the world to be shaped by God’s Kingdom values How will you pray for God’s Kingdom to come?
3) Upward for Jesus’ Return Joy for the Christian Justice for the World How do you feel about Jesus’ return?
We must cease to say ‘My Kingdom Come’ and instead say ‘Thy Kingdom Come’.
How will this change your view of these four little words? How will this encourage and drive forward your prayer life today?
