Principles of Leadership Model the Way Enable Others to Act Shared Vision Build Relationships

Model the Way The basis of good leadership is honorable character and selfless service to your organization. In your employees' eyes, your leadership is everything you do that effects the organization's objectives and their well-being.

Cornerstone of Leadership Building professional relationships, mentoring others, and maintaining high ethical standards are the cornerstones to any good leader’s success.

Success is a Team Effort Success is dependent upon building a competitive team with complementary skills, dreams, and enthusiasm. “It about building relationships.”

You Build Your Team Your strength as a leader comes from the team you create You are only as strong as your weakest link

Plan Your Moves A leader’s foremost job is to match the right candidate with the right job. Provide all the support possible, then stand back and let them flourish.

Building Relationships Professional success is never achieved alone. One of the most important elements for success that you must continue to develop is your ability to relate to people.

It takes Vision What makes a person want to follow a leader? People want to be guided by those they respect and who have a clear sense of direction. A sense of direction is achieved by conveying a strong vision of the future.

Are You a Leader or a Boss Although your position as a manager, gives you authority to accomplish objectives it does not make you a leader, it simply makes you the boss. Leadership differs in that it makes the followers want to achieve high goals.

Be Honest With Your Team Be honest with your team every step of the way. Give them the balance of freedom and enough direction to thrive.

Leading by Example It is important to remember respect is EARNED never given

Communication Never Stops Always remember to gain input from the people who have influence over the success of the task. Listen very intently and be decisive in order to overcome the challenge at hand.

Change is The Constant Be prepared to reinvent yourself, as the world around us is continually changing. You must stay open to new, fresh ideas in order to continue to grow and excel.

It’s a Balancing Act Success, never comes easy or without sacrifices. Balancing home with work is part of the equation.

Know Yourself Shared Vision Enable Others to Act Model the Way Principles of Leadership
