What EMOTIONS might the figure be feeling? “The Scream” is by Norwegian artist Edvard Munch. He used shapes and colors to express a deep feeling. Munch was one of several artists who were known as EXPRESSIONISTS The EXPRESSIONISTS felt strongly that paintings could show people worrying and suffering as well as showing the beautiful things in life.
