Benefits of Service Learning Provides quality education Increased access to the range of supports and opportunities they need to grow up healthy, caring, and responsible. Increased sense of self-efficacy, can impact real social challenges, problems, and needs. Higher academic achievement and interest in furthering their education. improved problem-solving skills, ability to work in teams, and planning abilities. better civic engagement attitudes, skills and behaviors.
Talk about the different projects Wounded Warrior – worked at a 5k in order to raise money for the injured soldiers in the army. Bowling for breast cancer – this was an event in order to raise awareness and raise money for women struggling with breast cancer. Relay for Life – this was also an event that dealt with raising money for cancer.
What I got out of service learning I gained many skills that will help me with everyday activities. I got the satisfaction of helping others. I made many new friends while doing the community service.

I had a lot of fun doing community service this year and will continue to offer help to those in need. I have learned more from doing community service then I ever thought I would.
