Man is an immortal spiritual being. His experience extends well beyond a single lifetime. His capabilities are unlimited, even if not presently realized. THREE FUNDAMENTAL TRUTHS

Scientologists conceive the self as immortal. Immortal- not subject to death. They believe to be immortal because they address the spirit of the person and they do not put emphasis on the body or mind. HOW DO SCIENTOLOGISTS CONCEIVE THE SELF?

Scientologists believe in immortality, so they believe that the person’s soul lives on after physical death in the form of reincarnation. Scientologists do not believe in heaven or hell because they do not focus on the body or mind, just the soul of the person. They believe that the soul lives on through others for years after physical death. There are formal ceremonies for the passing of fellow Scientologists with funeral rites to remember the soul. HOW DO SCIENTOLOGISTS CONCEIVE AFTERLIFE?

Since Scientology does not focus on a person’s physical being or body, there is no written code in the religion for proper disposal of a body. A scientologist can be buried or cremated if they desire after death, this is not too important because there soul will still live on. DISPOSAL OF BODY AFTER DEATH
