GEOMETRY, GRID-INS, & PUTTING IT ALL TOGETHER Day 6

Geometry: RIFS Rules: Know the Rules Info: Fill in the missing info Formulas: Write Down formulas required Solve: Solve for missing info

Geometry: Basic Topics Degrees and angles Triangles Circles Rectangles and Squares Odds and Ends

Geometry: Degrees and Angles Circle has ? Degrees When thinking about angles- think circles A line has ? Degrees Two intersecting lines, form four angles Opposite angles are equal Two parallel lines are cut by a third line, the small angles are all equal, and the large angles are equal Parallel = same slope; Perpendicular = negative inverse slope

Geometry: Triangles Every triangle contains 180 degrees. Equilateral Triangle means equal sides and angles. Isosceles triangle means two equal sides and two equal angles. Right triangle, one angle is 90 degrees, opposite side is hypotenuse Perimeter and Area

Geometry: Triangles

Geometry: Circles, Rectangles, and Squares

Geometry: Odds and Ends Parallelogram opposite sides and opposite angles are equal Polygons: Use Triangles V = LxWxH Coordinate Plane (+,+) (-,+) (-,-) (+,-) Slope y = mx + b Midpoint and Distance of a line Translations of lines and curves

Geometry: Ballparking

Ratios/percents/Stats/Prob.

Game Day! This is the Practice Test. Items to remember! The test starts at 8 am sharp! Plan on arriving to school at 7:45 am. Review directions of the different sections beforehand. Bring Photo ID Several no. 2 Pencils Acceptable Calculator A watch A snack that can be easily stowed in the test room and can be consumed outside of the room during breaks. Directions to the test center and instructions for finding the entrance on Saturday. I have everything ready and in a carry bag the night before I will be leaving my house at am. This will provide plenty of time to arrive at the site at 7:45, even with delays. I will set my alarm for am, in order to have time to wake up properly, eat breakfast, complete my morning routine. I will be in bed at ___ pm in order to receive a minimum of 8 hours of sleep. If you are not on time, you cannot take the test!!!
